forgot to mention – i’m up in rhode island for the weekend, first time i’ve been home since december.
on that note, here’s one of the more bizarre collaborations i’ve heard in a while…

Finally got around to finishing Fever Pitch today. I had held out on reading this book in the first place for so long because of the author’s unabashed allegiance to Arsenal. Hornby’s one of the more engaging writers I’ve read in a while. This is a must read for any and all soccer fans (including Spurs fans like myself).
Hornby constantly refers to ‘football’ as a metaphor, and with the past 36 hours Tottenham and myself have had, I couldn’t agree more.
This looks amazing and I’ll be in NYC the weekend it premiers as part of the New Yorker Festival. Between this festival, which will also include an acoustic set from the Icelandic quartet, and the LCD Soundsystem / Arcade Fire / Les Savy Fav show at Randalls Island, this weekend will be a hipster’s dream come true.

saw wolf parade at the black cat tonight.
in one word: amazing. i showed up to the show without a ticket, run into two kids who i met in winston at the bloc party show, found a ticket for cheap, and was front row for all the sets. if i leaned forward, i would have headbutted dan boeckner in the shins. playd lots of new stuff (lp2 is going to be a good one) and absolutely amazed everyone in attendence.
song of the night: You Are A Runner And I Am My Father’s Son (directly into) fancy claps
two terrible defensive performances, but thrilling all the same
