scored tickets to the long sold out mia show at the 9:30 club at the last minute and all i can say is wow. between her stage presence and the absolutely rabid crowd support, the show was an amazing experience.

six actors, six personas, one bob dylan. this is one of the few must see movies of the year.
i am home in rhode island for the holiday weekend. hope y’all enjoy your turkey day.
as an avid and longtime fan of calvin and hobbes, this makes me very excited
if i am able to decide how i spend my after life, i would spend my eternity in oxford, mississippi on a saturday afternoon

today i embark on a (quasi) road trip. me and a copilot are heading out of the district this afternoon and will end up in oxford, mississippi on friday afternoon. why you ask? on the surface, to take in ole’ miss, mingle at the grove, and catch the football game against the number one team in the country, the lsu tigers. aside from that, i’ve always wanted to experience the true southern college life. sure, i spent four years in north carolina for undergrad, but ole’ miss is a bit different. ask anyone who’s been.
along the way, there will be pitstops at james madison university (picking up a third passanger), roanoke college (swapping cars), and wake forest university (staying the night and catching up with the people i left six months ago).
hope y’all enjoy the weekend, i’m sure as hell going to enjoy mine.
Jonsi and the boys just released a double EP set Hvarf-Heim, a collection of live favorites and previous rarities, in support of their new documentary, heima, (which i loved). also, two sigur ros interviews – one great, the other abysmal. finally, news that the band are about to begin work on their next lp.
